EPCOS 2022 - European Phase-Change and Ovonic Symposium
E\PCOS 2022 - European Phase-Change and Ovonic Symposium
18th-21st September 2022 - Oxford, UK
We are deeply saddened and mourn Queen Elizabeth II, Great Britain’s longest reigning monarch, who visited Wolfson College in 1968 to lay the College’s foundation stone. Her state funeral is scheduled on Monday 19th September and as such there is a national holiday on that day throughout the United Kingdom.
However, we have made the decision to continue with the E\PCOS 2022 programme as scheduled. This has not been an easy decision to make, however with so many of you travelling from overseas and due to the disruption of E\PCOS 2022 over the past few years, we feel it is the best decision for the E\PCOS community.
Please do note though, that there will be a more sombre mood around the event. Further, on Monday, while we have all refreshments and meals as arranged, they will be less elaborate, as Wolfson College will be operating on a skeleton crew. The funeral will be streaming on several screens around the venue.
The European Phase-Change and Ovonic Symposium (E\PCOS) returns to an in-person conference in Oxford, UK. Join us from 18 to 21 September 2022.
E\PCOS 2022 brings together the phase-change community to discuss recent and breaking scientific and technology achievements of phase-change materials alongside their possible new application areas. It is the premier and independent phase-change materials conference, which has evolved to represent emerging interests in neuromorphic computing, phase-change photonics and plasmonics. We are excited that this year we will return to an in-person format hosted at Wolfson College, Oxford, UK.
The E\PCOS symposium provides an informal atmosphere which encourages interactions among participants and creates fruitful interactions between leading researchers of industry and academia.
EPCOS 2022 will also feature an art exhibition by Visual Artist Meadhbh O'Connor on the results of her collaboration with Engineer Prof Harish Bhaskaran. Art items will be displayed at the conference venue.
